Imagining in thirty years, I might not have heard your voice for 29 of them. You are alive now, but that day will come. I will rely on fractured recordings to capture the voice that raised me. I try not to think about it yet it is all I think about. That day will come, that day will come. When, the last time you said “I love you, son” will indeed be the last time. And I will be forced to hold onto it as long as my memory permits. This is nature’s way but it doesn't make it any easier.
