Fiction and Creative Nonfiction:
One short story or essay with a word count up to 2500 words
Flash Fiction and Flash Creative Nonfiction:
Up to three Flash pieces—750-word limit for each— in a single Word document with a total word count not to exceed 2000 wordsPoetry
Up to three poems, none exceeding sixty lines, all in a single Word document
Formatting Guidelines:
All submissions must be in Times New Roman, 12 point font, double-spaced, paginated, and submitted as a .doc or docx. Note: the submission manager will not accept Google Docs. Editors reserve the right to make minor edits (e.g. spelling or grammar) prior to publication.

By submitting your work, you agree to the following statement: Realizing that intellectual property right must be respected and are protected by law, I indicate that everything submitted for consideration by me is original work, I am its only author, it has not been previously published in print or online (including personal blogs), and I have the authority to offer it for publication in1922 Review. All rights return to the individual after publication, though we may feature published work for marketing purposes, such as social media posts, buttons, posters for events, etc. Creators will always be credited.
Selection and Publication Process: Notices of acceptance or rejection will be sent through Submitable, our submission manager. Typical wait time is less than 60 days.1922 Review will publish at least one issue in both the fall and spring semester of each academic year.
